SCDAA Kicks Off Phase I of 40th Anniversary Campaign
ONE COMMUNITY – ONE CAUSE
SICKLE CELL DISEASE ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA, INC (SCDAA) ANNOUNCES 40th ANNIVERSARY CAMPAIGN
SCDAA along with its member organizations launches the “One Community – One Cause” Campaign. The One Community – One Cause mobile giving drive is Phase I of SCDAA’s five year 40th Anniversary capital fundraising campaign. This national fundraising and awareness initiative is designed to focus on education and funding for sickle cell disease (SCD) social programs and research. The campaign will motivate and empower communities to go above and beyond the call of duty to enhance and save the many lives affected by this disease.
The ultimate mission of the One Community-One Cause campaign is to empower communities to unite in an effort to bring broader awareness to this disease. Your support will provide better access to patient assistance across the country, send hundreds of children to camps , give deserving students with SCD the opportunity to attend college through scholarships and provide hope to finding a cure.
The mobile giving drive will allow supporters to text the word BREAK to 52000 to donate and join in “breaking the sickle cycle.” See Terms below. They may, also, contribute through the SCDAA website or support a number of activities that will occur during the “One Community- One Cause Campaign.” Additional details are available at www.sicklecelldisease.org.
During the five year campaign SCDAA will engage in a number of partnerships that will assist in its efforts to raise funds of this overall national project. Stayed tuned for more information.
